You have written a very interesting article and made some excellent points. However, I disagree with you on two points. First, Torres is not an "intelligent young man," he is a footballer. Second, I would not expect him to behave in a manner consistent with what a person such as your self considers the moral high ground. I too am a passionate football fan and Liverpool supporter, but I have come to expect a lack of intelligence and morality from football players. I wish I wasn't so cynical about it, but that is the way I see it. Hopefully, some outstanding player with a sense of morals and some intelligence will come along soon and prove me wrong.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been receiving the support he needs not only for winning matches but also turn out to be the celebrity he is these days. Cristiano Ronaldo has also modelled for a number of major-brand names, recently doing a modelling shoot for a well-known jeans firm.

We should add -- the Argies only won in '78 on home soil because Cruyff (bless his typically prickly Dutch conscience) refused to play in a land ruled by a junta!

7. Virtual human clone avatar option. In a conceptual combination of new rules 2 and 4, and in preparation for World Cup 2014, selected 2010 players' DNA would be spliced onto the DNA of world football greats past and present. The resulting hybrid players (ie Diego Maradoneto'o, Cristiano Rondaldinho, Hristo Di Stoichkofano) would be incubated in outer space only to return to humid Amazonia in summer 2014 to compete in the World Cup Avatar competition.

The only significant change FIFA has made in their official announcement of the drawing pots is the exclusion of France from Pot 1. Holland will be seeded, and France will now be in the European pot. So i am switching those two to have England face france in the group of death. Unfortunately, Holland, Switzerland, Algeria, South Korea does not make for such an interesting Group H, but I don't have the time to switch everything around again :)

As one of those Germans who is trying to come up with a name to describe the Bayern attacking combo, I have to say the best one I have read so far is 'Robbery'. 'Robbery in Munich' makes for a nice sensationalist headline :)
